I took the Bronica down to Wells beach when we spent the afternoon there at the start of July. I'm a sucker for beach huts...especially when they're on stilts! Bronica SQA + Kodak 400VC.

There's a wonderful short film up on the Fine Art TV website about my friend and fellow Filmwasters.com committee member, Susan Burnstine. Definitely worth checking out if you want to find out more about Susan and what drives the creation of her amazing work.

This was taken back in early July up on the north Norfolk coast at Wells-Next-The-Sea. Locals and tourists throw lines off the harbour wall to catch crabs. I like this one best from the few that I took because you can't see where the harbour surface ends and drops down into the sea. Anny clone and TMAX 400.

Just got back from a couple of days up in Ipswich for a wedding (congrats Mickey & Sarah). It was great to see everyone again; some of them for the first time in quite a few years. I'm very lucky to have so many wonderful friends that I can pick up with straightaway like we'd last spoken a week ago instead of a year (or more). Lots of plastic cameras on display too which was nice!

This snap was taken down in Cornwall in May of this year. Agfa Isola and TMAX 400. I guess the sky looks highly processed, but the honest truth is that - following the patented Leon Taylor method - I did levels and curves for the image as a whole, then selected the sky area separately, pulled the curve down a bit and hey presto, the image suddenly started looking like one of Skorj's messed up Polaroids. I'm happy with it that's for sure. Black dots in the sky courtesy of the Isola. No idea how it happens, but every now and then I get these little black specks on the film.

After 2+ years of taking computer time as and when I could find it and hooking my scanner up to a variety of different machines, I finally have a new 'office' at home with a stable (and new!) PC to which I can attach all of my hard drives and image archives etc. Good news. I just spent 30 mins skimming through the rough scans I managed to get of much of the material I've shot in the last 3 years and some of it's actually pretty good. I may now finally have time to go through some and re-scan/post-process some of the more worthy efforts. Here's hoping.

....Anyway, after the big build-up here's a snap which is really nothing more than a tourist shot of the national museum in Tirana, Albania. The thing is, I like it a lot so I'm not too fussed about whether it's art and it brings back some happy memories of the trip there last year. I have previously posted some b/w efforts of the same subject. This is colour (you don't say) and was shot on Fuji Fortia using my now defunct Yashica Electro GSN.

Just bought myself a Polaroid back for the Bronica SQ-A, so it'll be nice to use Polaroid/Fujifilm instant film without having to pick up one of the Land Cams. Looking forward to trying it out properly next week when I'm away in Cornwall.

This snap is the positive image of which the previous entry was the negative/goops side. Unusual in that I actually like both images. The colour palette is nicer on the other image, but I like the fact that you can see the clouds in this one. Land Camera 360 and Polaroid 125i film.
