Wednesday, December 15th, 2004 - 02:47PM Catherine Gets Married ![]() « Previous Main Next » [Photo: Just married Catherine. Camera: Pentax P30T] This picture and the previous entry were both taken with the Pentax and some TMAX 3200 film (hence the 'grain from hell') at Catherine and Tim's wedding a couple of months ago. This one is of the blurred, blushing bride just about to be driven away from the registry office. A confession; this image is cropped. I don't normally crop images, but on this occasion I think it's for the best. It also goes to show that even when I'm using a half-decent SLR (damn them) I'm still attracted to the out of focus, toycamera-like part of an image instead of the part that was sharp.

Okay, so here are my thoughts on this one. I know you're not into cropping your shots and you've already cropped this one. But I would have liked it cropped even tighter. We only see the grooms arm and partial head, so that's not a decisive factor. I think if you crop into your main subject more, it might work better. And yes--the grain will be even more defined. But like I said. No grain is bad grain. Just an idea. Not a definitive one.
