Sunday, November 13th, 2005 - 07:52PM Unidentified Pine ![]() « Previous Main Next » [Photo: Pine Tree Camera: Great Wall] Another one from the archives. This one taken on another trip to RHS Wisley back in June, just before Susan and Skorj came over for the meet-up. This was when I still had the bellows setup on the Great Wall. The good news is that I've finally started taking real photos again (i.e. not Polaroids). The aim was to go out this weekend with the Pentax, some b/w film on board and get some grainy art under my belt; urban reality, dark alleyways...that sort of thing (cough). On a trip around Balham on saturday PM I managed a little of that, but the fact is that despite my best intentions to the contrary I ended up taking about 28 photos of Amy with 'art' coming a very distant 2nd place :-) I've resolved my 'no time to process' b/w films problem by hooking up with the good people at Dark Side who do b/w processing at realistic prices. Anything that I need done in a hurry I'm going to let them deal with. I got some hand prints done there last week and they did a great job (even printed from a 127 neg without batting an eye). The new band looks like it's about to become official too which is excellent news. K-Line played its last gig on Dec 14th 2004 and I was really keen to get something new moving before that anniversary came round. We've been rehearsing for a couple of months now and have finally booked some studio time at the start of December so hopefully we'll come away from that with something decent to show for our efforts. Hardcore gigs in London are non-existent at the mo from what I can tell, so once we've got something to play people we'll start lining some shows up for the new year. The band's had various different names over the course of the last few months, but I think we've settled on You Disgust Me. Proper Bo! Finally, I got to see a real life copy of Lightleaks, over the weekend and was blown away by how excellent it is. I thought it would be good, but just how good was a big suprise. The print quality is decent throughout, the photos look great and the design is sexy as fluck. I can't wait to start work on #2 now. ![]() ![]() Posted by: Ed | permalink Comment Gallery: SLRs Who You?: beck

Stunning, Ed! Glad to hear you're finally getting out and about to do some shooting again. As a parent, I know exactly how you feel -- even tho I've got a 12 year old now instead of a toddler! ;-) Great band name, btw!

Great to hear you're back out and taking photos. Also glad you posted the DarkSide site as I need some prints done quick and I think I'll use them, their rates are really good.
